Multicultural Day 2019

14/1/2019

The annual Seddon CC Multicultural Day is on Sunday 27 January. As a bonus, the following day is the Australia Day public holiday.

Seddon CC Multicultural Day event is a celebration of the cultural diversity at our club, and within the local community in general, while also celebrating the invaluable contribution of club members of all nationalities and backgrounds. Since we staged the first Multicultural Day event six years ago the event has grown and become an integral part of our social calendar.

We have an action packed day planned including three teams (two sides from outside the club) competing in the T20 cricket competition for the Seddon CC Multicultural Day Cup, lamb & chicken gyros' for lunch, 'Foods of the World' for dinner, official presentations after T20 cricket tournament and a band finishing off a big day at the club.

For the kids we have games inside the rooms and also a wading pool for the kids (and adults) to cool down throughout the day.

This year the T20 cricket competition will once again be very competitive, with the title holders - SK Lankans - coming back to defend their title and the Victoria Police Cricket Club entering the competition. The Seddon CC side will be captained by our Scottish import Chris Sole.

Note: The Seddon CC side still requires players to complete the squad - please let Leigh Davies or Josh Beaumont (Coach) know of your availability ASAP.

If you would like to contribute a dinner dish, please advise Leigh Davies ASAP (as you/we can never have enough food!).
